Gordon is an absolutely fantastic joiner and we've used him for loads of jobs at our house. We found RGS Joinery through the website for the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) when we submitted a request for quotes for the replacement of two external doors. Gordon replied quickly and visited soon after. Unlike several other joiners, Gordon took the time to inspect the doors properly and noticed that one door in particular would be slightly problematic owing to its age and installation, but came up with some solutions quickly.
Gordon completed the work in two days, managed to work around a few further unexpected issues (like a sloping lintel none of us had ever noticed!), readjusted the height of the door handles to be in line with others in the house (more work for him, just to improve the aesthetics), and was exceptionally friendly and tidy. He even noticed a fault with one of the new handles and was honest enough to point it out, get a replacement, and return with the new one after being paid!
Gordon was a fantastic find and did a superb job. We would both recommend him to others, and use him again ourselves.

Gordon Sneddon is a rare breed of joiner and builder. Myself and my husband moved into our three story period terrace 3 years ago. The place needed gutting, and out of all the builders we used, Gordon was by far the best. Fast, high quality work, and communicative throughout.
His first task was to build some wooden doors that would separate the lounge and dining room. He went to a lot of trouble to get the period look that we were after. Next on the enormous list of things to do was to build an extension, which included a downstairs toilet. His team were very professional, and very fast. The work carried out also included out buildings, and a raised flower bed that was built to our exact specification, and a skylight fitted at the top of the landing.
The reason why Gordon is such a rare breed of joiner and builder is that rather than plough on and make decisions just to get a job finished, he will communicate throughout to make sure what he’s doing is exactly what you want. If there are any questions or queries, these will be discussed along the way.

RGS Joinery has completed a number of jobs for Merizel Kennels and cattery spanning over 15 years ranging from small jobs, to constructing kennels and catteries from scratch. Including building kennels which needed to meet the high standard set by Guide Dogs for the Blind in order to house their Guide Dogs in advance training. Also, refurbishing a fully operational dog grooming room. Gordon is highly skilled and has also completed work within the house, varying from fitting bathrooms, a kitchen, bedrooms, fitting windows and all aspects of home improvements.
